Woody Perfume From Amsterdam

Sandalwood, Cedar and Structure

I am very fond of woods in perfume. They give structure, calm and a sense of depth to almost any composition. In my woody perfumes from Amsterdam I work with sandalwood for creaminess, cedar for clarity and pencil-shaving dryness, and darker woods for shadow. Together they form perfumes that feel like a steady backbone you can lean into.

Woods Paired with Florals and Resins

Rarely do I leave wood on its own. I like to wrap it in florals, smoke or resins, so that every breath shows a slightly different face. A cedar accord might be lifted by a sharp flower, or a soft sandalwood might hide underneath an incense veil. These contrasts keep the fragrance alive as you move through the day.
