Opening and evolution

The opening is bright and cold. Armoise from Morocco has a character somewhere between sage, absinthe, and high-altitude herbs, with a natural menthol-like coolness. Here it is the main note, and together with a wintergreen accent it gives the first minutes a glassy, icy freshness. Bergamot and petitgrain add a short citrus-leaf sparkle.

As the chill settles, a fresh floral heart comes through: rose and lily of the valley in a modern, dewy style, with a trace of jasmine for glow. The florals stay light and cool rather than sweet or creamy.

The base is a wide, transparent wood accord with a soft amber tone and clean musks. It reads as second skin rather than statement: dry, smooth, and quietly persistent, keeping the herbal freshness alive deep into the drydown.

The story

Armoise, or white wormwood, grows wild on the arid plateaus of Morocco. Steam-distilled from the flowering tops, the oil is intensely fresh and camphoraceous, with a bittersweet heart that perfumers compare to crushed sage and absinthe. It is a material with real character: cooling, aromatic, and a little untamed.

21 Armoise Maroc puts that character in the lead. The armoise is paired with wintergreen, whose sweet minty coolness amplifies the icy effect and gives the freshness an alive edge. Instead of anchoring it with heavy resins, the structure underneath was kept transparent: an airy wood accord with a soft amber glow and clean musks, so the herbal top stays legible from first spray to drydown. A cool floral heart keeps it wearable and gives the ice a soft centre.

How to wear

Spray on wrists and clothing when you want to feel cool-headed and clear. It works in heat, where the icy herbal top is at its best, and in an office, where the transparent base stays polite. Fresh without being a citrus cologne.
