My Personal Interpretation of Amber

This page is dedicated to my wider amber universe. Amber is not a single ingredient, it is a style, a warm accord that can lean sweet, resinous, smoky or velvety. In my Amsterdam studio I explore all these aspects. Sometimes I pair amber with florals, sometimes with spice or tea, sometimes with a hint of incense to give it height.

From Canal Light to Skin

There is something about evening light on Amsterdam’s canals that feels naturally “amber” to me. Soft, golden, slightly reflective. I often carry that image with me when I build amber perfumes. The result is a group of fragrances that feel glowing rather than heavy, as if the city has been translated into warmth on the skin.
