Opening and evolution
The first seconds are direct and clear. You smell sage immediately, sharp and vivid, like crushed leaves between your fingers. This is not a background accent. The sage carries the structure from the start.
Very quickly, oregano and supporting green herbs widen the effect. They add a slightly bitter, aromatic lift that keeps the sage from turning soft or soapy. The impression is dry heat and Mediterranean air rather than kitchen spice.
As it settles, a subtle wood accord gives body and keeps the herbs anchored. The drydown becomes smoother but stays green. Musk and oakmoss create a clean, slightly earthy trail that feels like warm skin after a day in the sun. The perfume remains transparent and steady rather than evolving into something sweet or heavy.

The story
Salii was built around one material used at a level most perfumes avoid. The sage essential oil, organically grown in Dalmatia, has a full aromatic profile with camphor, green bitterness, and a warm herbal depth. Instead of polishing it away, the structure was designed to support it at super high dose. In perfumery balance is extremely important, I like to make things that are not rounded and balanced but bright, bold and a little extreme.
Oregano was added not as a culinary note but to amplify the raw, sun heated character of the sage. Together they create a dry herbal chord that feels vivid and natural. The wood accord gives shape, so the perfume reads as a composed fragrance rather than a single oil on skin. Musk and oakmoss extend the life and add a clean yet slightly earthy finish, making it wearable as a classic alcohol based perfume.
