Why I Work in Small Quantities

NaNaNaa is built on small batches. I prefer a few carefully made litres to a warehouse of anonymous stock. Working this way allows me to stay close to every formula. I blend, dilute and monitor each batch myself. If something feels slightly off, I notice it before it ever reaches a bottle.

Slow Perfumery in a Fast City

Amsterdam moves quickly, but my perfumes do not. After blending, I give the liquid time to macerate quietly in the studio. Materials soften into one another, sharp edges disappear, and the scent finds its voice. Only then do I filter and bottle the perfume by hand. Every atomiser, cap and label passes through my hands before it leaves the Jordaan.
